The Janáček Brno 2016 festival programme is now available!

Dear festival-goers,

We would like to bring to your attention a
change to the programme. The renowned British tenor Toby Spence is coming to the Janáček Brno 2016 festival! He will be preforming in Janáček's The Diary of One Who Disappeared on 8 October at the Besední dům in place of Ian Bostridge, who is indisposed.

Toby Spence is greatly in demand by the foremost opera houses (Covent Garden, MET, National opéra de Paris, etc) and works with leading conductors and orchestras. He has already sung The Diary of One Who Disappeared at London's Wigmore Hall and the Barbican Centre.

All tickets remain valid. The date and time of the concert are unchanged. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you www.janacek brno.cz
Due to organizational reasons there has been a change of venue for the concert by the Prague Philharmonic Choir. The concert will take place at the Reduta theatre – Mozart Hall (the original venue was the Fait Gallery). The concert will take place on the original date of 8 October 2016 at 3pm. Existing tickets are still valid. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The Festival D’AIX-EN-PROVENCE has announced the postponement of work on the world premiere of the opera Seven Stones from the Tower of Babel by the composer Ondřej Adámek. For this reason the production will not be shown as part of the Janáček Brno 2016 festival (planned date 18. 10. 2016, Mahen Theatre). Tickets will be refunded at the NTB Customer Centre (Dvořákova 11, Brno, tel: +420 542 158 120, email: obchodni@ndbrno.cz). We apologise for any inconvenience. Instead of this production, as part of the gala finale Leoš Janáček’s Jenůfa will be given at the Janáček Theatre in a production by the Janáček Opera.
